Parenting Counts “Hot Topic Series”

This 6-session series of parenting hot topics build on one another (parents/caregivers are asked to commit to all of the sessions).  The Talaris Institute Parenting Counts Materials regarding Emotion Coaching guide the series.  The trainers bring in current information about neurodevelopment and temperament to add to the curriculum.  Topics of sessions: parent-child communication, child development and play, individual differences, temper tantrums, building resiliency, and strategies for handling big emotions.  Children are cared for in the playgroup environment by playgroup leaders while the parents participate in the dialogue.
